Our Greenery Café website design is a dark, sleek, and modern layout that strongly represents the brand identity of the café. It features a colour palette of grey and green, with tan/coffee accents. This is a perfect palette for the café’s mood and matches the location perfectly.
The leafy green imagery reflects the brand’s eco-friendly values and gives insight to the decoration of the café. From just a glance, the user can visualise the café and decide whether this ‘vibe’ resonates with them. We found that the audience for The Greenery Café cares deeply about the environment they spend their time in, so it was important to exude the feel and vibe of the café through the website design. This was achieved using plant imagery, a modern font and complimenting colours. This website features a boxed layout, which is an each way to keep content digestible and user-friendly in a container that is centered. To modernize a boxed layout, we have offset the images here with a drop shadow to give a multi-layer effect. This keeps the website from feeling flat and keeps users interested.
‘Julius Sans One’ is a modern font that was used to create the capitalized headings, and fit in with the café’s brand seamlessly. Throughout the website, we touch on the products offered by the coffee shop, invite users to its location, and encourage them to contact the owners with queries and comments.
At the bottom of the website, we display a list of events held at the coffee shop. This advertises the location as an ideal meeting place, once again encouraging users to visit not only alone but with their friends, groups, and organisations.
