Abbie Golden Jewellery Website Design

Jul 18, 2023 | Portfolio, Website Design

The Abbie Golden jewellery website design serves as both a portfolio and a website shop for Abbie, who needed a ‘beachy and elegant’ website to match the branding of her business. By using her brand fonts throughout the page, we created a website design that was consistent with her branding and replicated elements she uses in social media.

The homepage layout features a lot of internal links to help guide the user through the site layout. These are introduced with a short section to draw the user in, and an image to hold attention and make for easy skimming.

Accent colours that fit in with the beach theme allowed us to highlight items of interest, such as the h1 title and subheadings. We worked with her brand colours to find a background colour that didn’t overpower the layout, and accent colours such as green, dark blue and gold are found around the site. Since the website is used to showcase the jewellery sold, we needed to create a design the complimented the imagery instead of distracting from it. The main focus of the website should be the imagery, and we had to be careful not to distract attention from this while also providing the user with the necessary information. The script font she uses in her logo compliments the body font we have used. This font is used throughout the site to highlight keywords that allow the user to skim and find sections as they need.
